It is possible to reassign the actual keys under windows but for that you'd need to use a utility like AutoHotKey, and it would affect everything, not just SAI. If your command or action (or keyboard combination) isn't listed on Keyboard Shortcut Preference then you can't use the Menu shortcui method.įor example, if you want to use a different key as the spacebar, or cursor keys, you can't do that within SAI because there's no tool button or menu command for these, nor do they appear in the keyboard combinations list. Please NOTE if there's no tool button for the shortcut you want to alter/create, then you can't use the tool shortcut method. There are two ways you can change the shortcuts in Paint Tool SAI, by changing the tool shortcuts, or the menu shortcuts. Paint Tool SAI is a great program, but some of the conveniences aren't always obvious. I also can't help you with issues using SAI surface pro or OS related problems, either. I haven't used SAI for almost eight years, now, and can't answer technical questions about issues outside shortcuts. I can't answer questions about later versions as I don't have them. This tutorial is for version 1.1.0 of SAI.
